Quiet Dieting To Stay Fit
In the present day scenario, obesity is one of the most common obstacles enroute to fitness. To come this roadblock, most people seek the help of fad diets. While fad diets may help you lose weight, they take you even further from your fitness goals. Dieting can have unfavorable effects on your body which can make you unfit and unhealthy.

Most of the weight loss diets work on the lines of making you eat less to lose weight. When you eat less, your calorie consumption gets reduced. This creates a calorie deficit in the body. To make up for this calorie loss, the body uses the existing fat reserves. As a result, you lose weight.

While weight loss diets help you lose weight, they slow down your metabolism too. This means that your body's ability to burn calories is reduced. Even when you return to your normal course of eating, your metabolism continues to remain slow and sluggish. This leads to weight gain.

As a matter of fact, the weight lost via dieting is easy to regain. Since your metabolism continues to remain slow, you are bound to put on more weight. Many people regain the weight at a much faster rate than they had lost it. So, diets only offer you temporary weight loss which will not help you achieve your fitness goals.

There are also some diets that do not restrict the quantity of food but the kind of food you are supposed to eat. These diet plans ask you to eat a particular kind of food. Such diet plans are not good either as they can lead to various nutritional deficiencies. When your body lacks the desired nutrients, you are bound to be unfit.

With this, it wouldn't be wrong to conclude that dieting is not a suggested option for those who wish to stay fit. If you want to lose weight, it would be better to switch to a healthier eating pattern rather than following fad diets. Start eating more of fresh fruits and vegetables instead of gorging on junk food. This will not just help you lose weight but stay fit as well.

Eating six meals per day is another healthy eating habit that can help you lose weight and stay fit too. Give away the traditional norm of three meals a day. Instead, switch to several six small sized meals per day. This will keep your metabolism going and help you burn more calories. Also, six meals a day keeps you feeling full at all times and ensures that you do not indulge in binge eating.

So, if you want to stay fit, make sure that you say no to fad diets.
