To enhance your fitness level you need to implement certain do's and certain don'ts. Both are necessary. If you follow the part that involves your participation in what needs to be done, but do not pay as much attention to what you need to consciously avoid doing, you are negating all the good effects with bad. As a result your fitness level does not improve and you lose vitality in your life.
So what are the don'ts? Do not eat too frugally or heavy meals full of fatty food. Some people erroneously think that eating frugally can help them lose excess weight whereas others love food containing fats so much that they simply cannot resist an opportunity to eat heavy meals. Some people start out with eating frugally, but cannot sustain that and suddenly go into binge eating. This hinders your fitness and attempts to maintain proper weight.
Don't overdo the exercises. Some people in a bid to lose weight faster do heavy exercise. This may in the short term seem to help you. However, your body has not acclimatized itself to sudden heavy exercise. Therefore, it becomes overstressed and as a result you may fall ill.
Don't lose heart if you find that inspite of your doing exercise and dieting, in the initial stage your weight does not seem to at all reduce. The human body is built for gradual change and it takes time to achieve your weight loss goals. However, in the medium term, if you regularly exercise and eat nutritious food in moderation, there is no reason why you will not be able to enhance your fitness level.
Do not use any anabolic steroids to attempt to lose weight or to increase your fitness level drastically. Steroids are harmful for your body in the long term and can cause many side-effects. Moreover, excess doses of steroids can cause irreversible damage to your tissues and muscles.
Now the do's Do every fitness level enhancing activity in moderation. It is better to do light exercise regularly for long than to indulge in heavy weight lifting, without warming up properly, especially when you cannot maintain the routine.
Eat nutritious food in moderation but at regular intervals. Also take time out daily to laugh. A good mood is a precursor to good fitness and is also a stress buster. Besides physical exercise such as walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming. It is also important to perform a set of mental exercises. It needs to be something you like such as Yoga and meditation or simply a game of Sudoku.
Having a good night's sleep is as essential to maintain your fitness as is exercising or meditating. Another thing to do is to not let your thoughts or reactions torment your mind. Participating in your children's activity and helping your spouse in work at home also helps maintain and enhance your fitness that makes you feels good from inside.
